Tiffany inspires readers with not only easy-to-follow recipes, but also by the way she poured her heart and soul into this book by sharing her story and the struggles that brought her to where she is today. I was truly inspired and after reading it from cover to cover, I felt like I had known her forever.

This book, along with Mom Certified Celebrates Heritage, has quickly become my go to books for cooking, allergy friendly ideas and substitutions and inspiration in the kitchen! I know you may be thinking okay it is a cookbook, but no it is more. I have tried many a gf cookbook and had varying degrees of success because I also have to account for dairy issues and occasionally corn sensitivities. …must say that I enjoyed the pictures and drawings in this book. It added a personal touch that many cookbooks are missing. It made it easy to see how a family would enjoy certain meals, how to let everyone help out in preparing the meals and more. Additionally if you are new to meal planning or grocery shopping for us individuals with food intolerance’s, sensitivities or allergies the grocery lists and sample menus in the back of the book are superb!

I wanted to bring something refreshing yet tasty to a memorial day celebration this year and with my husband and I living a gluten free lifestyle I picked out a wonderful Lemon Cake recipe from Gluten Free Mom Certified. It was my first time making lemon curd and frosting from scratch, I don’t bake much. Tiffany made it easy with wonderful instructions in her cookbook. The cake came out beautiful and everyone at the party enjoyed how flavorful it was. I got comments like “this is very refreshing” and “what a wonderful dessert.” I even got a bit creative and topped it with a few strawberries just to give it a polished look. Tiffany Hinton’s cookbook, Gluten Free Mom Certified is a must have for any gluten free kitchen. Plus she includes a dairy free option for each recipe. So this one receives an A+ from me!
If you or someone you know is allergic to Gluten this book is a must have item in your kitchen. I am not a chef by any means but this book has the easiest recipes. She shows you how to make Gluten Free food without breaking the bank! The recipes in this book are so delicious that you will never know you are eating gluten free. Sometimes when you think of going Gluten Free you worry about sacrificing taste. Well worry no more once you have the GFMomcertified book…. So here is the skinny.. my 100% opinion. You have to pick up this book! Its not confusing at all to start implementing gluten free in your kitchen. For example, gluten free flour can be so expensive but I buy the Bisquick Gluten Free flour and just substitute it in recipes. Just changing what you use doesn’t mean you have to break the bank. My husband and I have seen major improvements with my son since going Gluten Free with him that we will continue to make it a part of our everyday.
First of all if I could have eaten the whole cake I would have. I found it really simple to make and it was the perfect blend of flavors. It had just the right amount of everything and was so moist. The frosting was not over powering but more like the perfect accent to the cake. You could truly taste everything flavor individually at points. I had to continually remind myself it was gluten free because it tasted so rich.

As I was looking through the book I really was excited to see a steak fajita recipe. We tried it out the other Saturday and served it with homemade guacamole and handmade corn tortillas. It was a big hit. I did substitute the rib eye the recipe called for with a flank steak we had on hand. There is a recipe for Strawberry Lemonade Cake that just sounds amazing and I would love to have that for Mother’s Day. I adore anything lemon or lime. I also really want to try making her French Onion Burgers. They sound extremely moist and delicious

I generally think Gluten-Free books are boring and the recipes are tasteless, but recently I was proven wrong. The author sent me an eBook of her cookbook to review: Kid Approved and I melted. The pictures were of her kids (absolutely adorable) cooking alongside and the pictures ofthe food and ingredients motivated me to try a few… The pictures aremouthwatering and the recipes are easy to follow. I really did enjoy this cookbook… Kid Approved is a winer!!

Gluten Free Mom Certified by Tiffany Hinton. This is the book I gave my kids. Her directions are easy enough for any 4th grader to follow andmake. My kids made her meringues with only limited help after getting meringue all over the bottom of my oven. (Don’t ask!)
